On preparing for conflict in the workplace:

Preparing vs. Expecting

Preparing means having the right tools and resources to tackle an issue if it does come up.

Expecting means sitting and waiting for something to happen.

Prepare, don’t expect!

Avoid unnecessary conflict in the workplace at all times. The person(s) you are involved in a conflict with will likely continue to be there after the conflict takes place, so don’t make things awkward.
