(#479) PART 1: 4 TECHNIQUES TO WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER (PART ONE)
WORKING SMARTER NOT HARDER
CVZ PART 1: 4 TECHNIQUES TO WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER
Society instills a “work, work, work” mentality and tells us that work has to be hard… news flash: it doesn’t have to be that way.
Working smarter not harder is about being strategic in your work week and using the time that you do have wisely.
What you’ll need:
Dry erase board and marker
4 steps to kick off working smarter:
1. 15 min brain dump - write down EVERYTHING that needs to be done in a list.
(Mindset hack: try not to feel overwhelmed. Remind yourself that the list will always be there no matter what, accept that.)
2. Shift your focus on how to better work with the list.
(Consider your factors like time, energy, etc.)
3. Look at each item on your list - Ask yourself, “is this something I can participate in, not do myself?”
Place an X on each item that applies.
Transfer items with X to another list.
Bring on team members to help with those tasks or projects so it doesn’t all fall on you.
