PICKLEBALL Events

Pickleball Socials

Get ready to serve up some serious fun with these community pickleball socials! Whether you're a seasoned pro or a total "dill-light," we've got events that are sure to make you rally for more. It's time to "dink" around and chill with your neighbors—choose your favorite way to play, sip, and socialize!

How to Host:

  1. Foster community engagement: Hosting a pickleball event creates a natural, easygoing way for residents to connect, which strengthens community bonds and increases resident satisfaction and retention.

  2. Provide necessary equipment: Supply paddles, balls, and a few quick "how-to" instructions for beginners. Offering easy access to gear removes barriers to participation.

  3. Create a casual, inclusive atmosphere: Emphasize fun over competition. Arrange simple prizes, music, and refreshments to keep the energy lively and welcoming.

  4. Promote widely: Use flyers, community apps, emails, and lobby signs to spread the word. Highlight the "no experience needed" vibe to encourage more residents to join.

Three Event Options to Choose From:

  1. Pickleball Games (Served Daily):

Host casual, drop-in pickleball matches over several days, allowing flexible participation.

Set up daily game times (e.g., 5–7 PM) and encourage residents to stop by, play a match or two, and meet new faces.

Keep the setup simple with a daily "leaderboard" just for fun, and offer light snacks or lemonade courtside.

  2. Pops & Pickleball:

Enjoy a relaxed afternoon where residents of all ages can play quick pickleball matches and cool off with a variety of popsicles.

Set up shaded seating, a popsicle cart or freezer, and invite everyone.

Offer short "learn to play" sessions with a fun, informal tone to make it easy for newcomers.

  3. Dink & Drink (Cocktails and Mocktails Edition):

An evening social featuring light pickleball play alongside a festive cocktail/mocktail bar.

Hire a local bartender or set up a DIY drink station with pickleball-themed drinks (like a "Pickle Punch").

Incorporate light music, twinkly lights, and cozy seating to create an upbeat but relaxed atmosphere.

Why It's Important:

These pickleball events are important because they create fun, low-pressure opportunities for residents to build friendships, foster a sense of belonging, and stay active within their community. By offering casual, inclusive gatherings, the apartment community strengthens resident satisfaction, encourages engagement, and enhances overall retention.
